Books by Thomas M. Wells

“I believe in giving back. It’s my life philosophy.” Thomas M. Wells

In 2005, Tom Wells gave one scholarship to a student in Ghana. This is special, he thought. Love helping out.

Twenty years later, that one “yes” has grown into the Wells Mountain Initiative, impacting over a thousand scholars, fifty-five countries, and a global family of change-makers.

Dream, Plan, Do! is not a textbook. It’s the messy, beautiful twenty-year journey of a small foundation that refused to stay small. You’ll meet the scholars, read their stories, and see how ordinary people with a little persistence can change the world.

One person. One dream. One plan. Dream, Plan, Do! Always.

“I have had an absolutely fantastic run.”, Thomas M. Wells.

Thomas M. Wells's favorite sayings are “Dream, Plan, Do” and “Give back.” In addition to recounting stories that illustrate a life well lived, Naked on the Highway is packed with lessons learned from a lifetime in law and service.

With rare honesty and self-deprecating humor, Wells explores events from his teenage years when he clashed with his father about the Vietnam War and did everything from Student Council to Woodstock. Follow him on a midlife move from New Jersey to small-town Vermont to run a bookstore. Share his joys and struggles in parenting three daughters, and embrace his enriching experiences with philanthropy.

Naked on the Highway unveils Wells’s life philosophy and emphasizes the importance of giving back, of a middle-of-the-road approach to conflict, and of dispensing well-meaning advice along the way.
